Surjeet Singh, an Indian prisoner in Pakistan jail for the last 30 years has crossed over to his motherland, today, after being released by Pak government. His family and friends were at the Attari-Wagah joint Check Post to receive him . His native village Phidda in Ferozepur district is all set to welcome him.
He was arrested by Pakistan in 1981 allegedly for spying and was given death sentence which was later commuted to life sentence in 1989.
