External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna says India has reached a certain level of economic growth and development and wants to share this experience with its neighbours.He said India wants to build a partnership with Nepal and part of this effort he is going to Birjung on Friday to inaugurate the the Terai Roads Project and the Integrated Check post which are being constructed with Indian Co-operation. Talking to the press after his meeting with Prime Minister of Nepal Jhala Nath Khanal, the External Affairs Minister expressed satisfaction with the talks he has held so far. He said the Prime Minister Khanal pointed out that Nepal and India share a unique relationship and should be cemented by frequent high level visits. He said that Prime Minister Khanal expressed confidence that the peace process and constitution drafting will be finished in time.Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Foreign Adviser Milan Tuladhar said Nepal would not let any activity in its soil that would be detrimental to India. He said India is concerned about the stability and security of Nepal as it shares a long and porous border. Nepalese Prime Minister assured that the peace process and constitution would be completed in time.Earlier bilateral level talks were held in which the entire gamut of issues between the two countries was discussed. According to Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Madan Kumar Bhattarai, Nepal and India agreed to activate the bilateral mechanism to increase trade , investment and economic cooperation.During the talks they also took stock of the agreements that were signed during the visit of then Prime Minister of Nepal Madhav Kumar Nepal in August 2009 . The External Affairs Minister had arrived earlier this morning in Kathmandu on a three day visit leading a seven member delegation.AIR correspondent reports, the visit of the external affairs Minister comes at a significant time as the May 28 deadline for the new constitution and peace process looms near. Mr. SM Krishna has reiterated India commitment to the peace process and said India wants to see a stable, peaceful and prosperous Nepal as the development of its neighbor also affects India’s growth. The Minister has said it has been India endeavour to strengthen co-operation and contribute to Nepal’s development cooperation with Nepal and to contribute to Nepal’s development. He has also said the Terai roads project and the integrated Check post at Birgunj which he will lay the foundation stone on Friday would facilitate Nepal’s international trade and economic development.Later, External Affairs Minister called on President on President of Nepal Dr.Ram Baran Yadav in Kathmandu Wednesday evening.
