The Defence Minister, Mr. A K Antony says, a general inspection is on in the border areas with Pakistan following the detection of tunnel on the border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in Thiruvananthapuram, he said India has viewed seriously the matter of the tunnel being dug from the Pakistani side into the Indian territory. The Minister said, it was apparently dug for infiltration and smuggling. The tunnel was detected on the 28th of last month after an area caved-in at two to three places due to rains in the vicinity of the border fencing near Chillayari Border Out Post of BSF along the International Border in Samba sector.
