New Delhi has said that India and Vietnam emphasised on development of knowledge based industries to meet the demands of 21st century. Inaugurating IT advanced resource centre in Hanoi, the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna said that development of highly skilled human resources is a must to achieve this objective. Mr. Krishna said that India has closely worked with Vietnam in the areas of capacity building and human resources development on several projects and the present IT Advanced Resource Centre is yet another step in this direction.

Mr. Krishna expressed hope that the Centre will become a lasting symbol of strategic partnership with Vietnam. The External Affairs Minister is in Hanoi on a three day visit to hold a joint commission meeting. The meeting assumes importance as it takes place ahead of President of Vietnam's visit to India later this year.
