India, US to strengthen economic relations and strategic partnerships: Piyush Goyal

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal reaffirmed the desire of both India and USA to continue to work towards strengthening economic relations and strategic partnership. Mr Goyal said this while addressing an event hosted by US-India Strategic Partnership Forum in Los Angeles. Touching upon the growth story that is unfolding in India, the Minister mentioned that two Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) have already been finalised this year and expressed hope for the conclusion of at least two more FTAs by the end of this year.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Reiterating that India is expanding its international engagements with countries across the globe, the Minister noted that having lived, worked and benefited from countries like the US, the Indian diaspora understands the importance of international engagements.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said, fruitful discussions was held over the course of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework Ministerial (IPEF)meeting in Los Angeles. He said the discussions aimed at bringing together a group of like minded, rules-based, transparent countries with a shared interest in an open Indo-Pacific region.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr Goyal emphasised that India is in the process of firming up its own digital framework and laws, particularly regarding privacy and data.
