India, US to strengthen cooperation to work against global terror

India and the United States are to enhance cooperation in the field of defence. AIR Correspondent accompanying the Prime Minister, reports that the visit of Dr Manmohan Singh to Washington, will speed up the process.<br/>India and the United States are also expected to sign a counter terrorism initiative to strengthen cooperation against global terror during the four day long visit of Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh to Washington. Dr.Singh is scheduled to have talks with the US President Barak Obama on Tuesday at the White House. The two countries are also expected to sign MoUs on cooperation in renewable energy, intellectual property rights and agriculture among other areas. AIR Correspondent from Washington reports that Singh-Obama knowledge initiative is also likely to be launched during the visit of Prime Minister. <br/><br/>
