India and Unites States today launched the Millennium Alliance, a platform to leverage Indian creativity, expertise and resources to source and scale innovations being developed and tested in the country. The partnership for global development aims at improving lives of vulnerable populations in India and around the world by supporting innovations that have potential to be replicated to maximise their benefit. The focus areas of the alliance are basic education, health, food security, clean energy, water and sanitation. The alliance encourages enterpreneures, innovators, NGOs and local partners to submit proposals for innovative development solutions
