Former US President Barack Obama has said India and the US have much in common and the partnership between the oldest and largest democracy could be a defining relationship for the 21st century. <br/><br/>Interacting with young leaders from across India at a Town Hall programme in New Delhi today, Mr Obama said, both countries are incredibly diverse.<br/>Speaking on the Indian youth population He said, India has got the largest population of young people and there has never been a better person to be a young person.<br/><br/>Speaking on dangers of technology, Mr obama said, it can actually isolate people and they become so hooked to their devices that they can no longer have conversations. <br/><br/>He said, when it comes to technology and education, people have to recognise that technology does not replace teachers. He said, technology has incredible potential force that can be used for good but people also have to avoid some traps of technology. <br/><br/>Mr Oabama said, basic things like vaccination and nutrition are among the modest efforts that can be provide to the people. <br/><br/>He said, single biggest contributor to health and longevity of people in advanced countries is clean drinking water, proper waste elimination and efficient sewage system.<br/><br/>Mr Obama said, he had the honour of being the first US president to join India's Republic Day celebrations and he remember the amazing acrobats on motorcycles. <br/><br/>Speaking about change, the former US President said, change is a slow process. he said, it took 20 years to see the effects of ending racial segregation in the US after a Supreme Court verdict. Mr Obama said, people have to accept that change is hard. He said, people should divide their problems into bite-sized pieces and make sure thet they are listening to the people they want to help.<br/><br/>Mr Obama said, he want to do something about climate change. He said, as everyone is aware in Delhi, clean air is a very important investment.<br/><br/>He said, charting the course of the future depends on people. He said, now more children are going to school than ever before. Mr Obama said, he want women to get same opportunities as men.
