Sources said,&nbsp; Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla had a telephonic conversation with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Stephen E. Biegun where they exchanged&nbsp; views on the current COVID 19 pandemic&nbsp; situation and associated challenges.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They also discussed how to&nbsp;control&nbsp;the pandemic including through the development of novel therapies and prophylactics against COVID-19 and ensuring availability of essential medicines, diagnostic and&nbsp; medical equipment, and sharing of best practices and information.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US&nbsp;President Donald Trump&nbsp;had telephonic conversation over the issue.&nbsp; External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar&nbsp;and US Secretary of State Pompeo&nbsp;also spoke over phone to discuss the issue.</span><br />
