India, US discuss ways to further enhance their cooperation to control COVID-19 pandemic

<span style="color: #222222;">India and US today discussed ways to further enhance their cooperation to counter and control the COVID-19 pandemic. Sources said,  Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla had a telephonic conversation with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Stephen E. Biegun where they exchanged  views on the current COVID 19 pandemic  situation and associated challenges.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">They also discussed how to control the pandemic including through the development of novel therapies and prophylactics against COVID-19 and ensuring availability of essential medicines, diagnostic and  medical equipment, and sharing of best practices and information.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump had telephonic conversation over the issue.  External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Pompeo also spoke over phone to discuss the issue.</span><br />
