India unveils roadmap to build modern defence technologies

India unveiled a new roadmap to build modern defence technologies for the 21st century both for strategic as well as asymmetric warfare. <br/><br/>Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) Director General VK Saraswat said in New Delhi that under the new strategy priority will be given to cutting edge technologies and countering terrorism. <br/><br/>Ahead of a three-day conference of directors of various DRDO laboratories beginning tomorrow, he said, the future weaponry would be a convergence of nano, bio and information technology with laser-guided systems.
