Foreign secretary Nirupama Rao on Tuesday underlined the need for economic linkages and enhanced people-to-people contacts between India and Pakistan. Speaking at a symposium in New Delhi, she said a comprehensive dialogue between the two nations is important for building durable and lasting peace. Outlining India's approach to ties with Pakistan, she advocated a forward-looking approach to address the trust deficit.The symposium was on “The Future of India-Pakistan Relations”.
