India, UAE have longstanding connection built on shared commitment: UAE Health Minister

The Minister of Health of United Arab Emirates, Dr Hanif Hassan has said that India and UAE have a longstanding connection built on shared commitment to promote the success of both the nations and people. It has been expressed at all levels including people to people, business to business and government to government. Speaking at a Suhoor function to mark the holy month of Ramadan, organised by Indian Business and Professional Council in Dubai, Dr. Hasan said, amongst foreign countries, India has a large number of companies registered in UAE and a thriving expatriate community contributes productivity in all economic sectors. Praising India’s robust pharmaceutical industry, information service industry and chain of colleges and universities, he said there are many opportunities to promote partnerships in healthcare and to continue to deepen the friendship between India and UAE. UAE heavily rely on India and Indian experts in healthcare system and there is a great need for innovation in technology in human resource development and service delivery, he added.The Consul General of India at Dubai, Sanjay Verma, Director General, of the Ministry of Economy of UAE, Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Alshihhi, Director General of Fujeirah free Zone Sharief Habib Al Awadhi Chairman of Dubai Chamber of commerce and Industry Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair and President of Indian business and Professional council Paras Shahdatpuri were prominent among those present on the occasion.
