India Under-19 team have won the cricket tri-series involving India, Srilanka and England. In the final of the series, India outplayed Sri Lankan colts by five wickets in Colombo today. Chasing 159 for victory at the R Premadasa Stadium, the Indian juniors rode on a solid 89-run opening stand between Washington Sundar and Rishabh Pant to achieve the target in 33.5 overs. Earlier deciding to bat, Sri Lanka made158 in 47.2 overs. The third team in the tri-nation event, England Under-19 remained without a win in the four matches they played.
