India trounces Bangladesh in men's Asia Cup Hockey

India's drag flickers Rupinderpal Singh and VR Raghunath scored hat-tricks as India crushed Bangladesh 9-1 in their final group B match in ninth Men's Asia Cup hockey tournament at Ipoh in Malaysia. India had already advanced to the semi-finals of the competition. India had defeated Oman, 8-0 on Saturday, before beating defending champions Korea, 2-0, on Monday, to book a semi-final berth. Now, India will play against Malaysia in semi finals on Friday. India's World Cup hopes hinge on this tournament's triumph, as the event offers its winners an automatic entry into next year's FIH World Cup, as continental champions. Earlier today, Korea thrashed Oman 10-NIL in the other Pool-B fixture.
