India's medal tally soared to 48, including 23 golds, as Indian shooters sparkled on the fifth day as well with Vijay Kumar raking in two yellow metals at the Commonwealth Shooting Championships in New Delhi today. Till yesterday, India had 13 golds but the organisers decided to include badge and pairs separately from today, which raised the medal tally for the hosts to 48, including 16 silver and nine bronze medals. Vijay Kumar continued his impressive form and garnered a medal each in the invidual and team event for 25m Center Fire Pistol Badge & Pairs.He was followed by Mahender Singh and the duo then combined to give India another gold in the team event with an overall score of 1159 points.
