The External Affairs Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna today said that New Delhi will take up the issue of maltreatment with the Indian Ambassador, Mrs. Meera Shankar in Washington with the United States. Reacting to the reports on the issue the External Affairs Minister said that the mater will be taken up at appropriate level. Mrs. Meera Shankar was pulled from an airport security line by American security despite being told of her diplomatic status. This prompted the Indian Mission in Washington to strongly protest against the incident.
