India will take up the issue of cancelling the detention of Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi by the Islamabad High Court with the Pakistan government. This was confirmed by a senior official of External Affairs Ministry to AIR.
The Islamabad High Court today suspended the Pakistan government notification of putting Lakhvi under house arrest after an anti-terrorism court granted him bail.
Lakhvi is accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Earlier, when Lakhvi was granted bail, New Delhi had communicated to Pakistan its concerns over the matter and said the bail makes a mockery of Pakistan's commitment to fight terrorism.
