India to take on Uzbekistan in the opening match of the 17th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball championship in Dubai's Al Nasr Club today. <br/>It would another test of strength for Indian spikers who fought hard at the recently concluded World Cup Qualifying rounds in Chenzou.<br/> <br/>Despite taking an early lead in all the three sets against China , Indian team couldn't capitalize on its gains and lost out to make it to the World Cup in Poland. <br/><br/>Hence the team with its fighting spirit would like to make amends for its performance. Indian spikers are placed in a tough Group-F with Qatar and Uzbekistan. <br/><br/>24 teams including India , hosts UAE, the reigning champion Iran and runner-ups China along with Thailand ,Korea and Australia are participating in the tournament. <br/><br/>Defending champions Iran and the runners up China are hot favorites to win the tournament having already qualified for the World Cup.<br/>
