India to take on Sri Lanka in 3rd Test match today

The third and final Cricket Test match between India and Sri Lanka will begin in New Delhi today. The match, to be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground, is scheduled to start at 9.30 AM. India will be led by Virat Kohli while Dinesh Chandimal will captain the visiting team. At present, the hosts hold a One-Nil lead after winning the second Test played at Nagpur by an innings and 239 runs. The rain-affected first Test at Kolkata had ended in a draw. This will be India's last Test match at home for quite some time as the young team would embark on the toughest journey of their cricketing careers come 2018. Starting with three Tests against South Africa, the world Number One Test team will also be involved in two more away series — five matches against England and four against Australia at the back-end of 2018.
