India and Sri Lanka will sign an agreement today for construction of the northern railway line in the island nation. Under it, India will construct the railway track between Medawachchiya and Thalaimannar costing over 26 billion rupees. The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Ashok K. Kantha and the Sri Lankan Minister of Transport, Kumara Welgama will ink the deal. The work will be executed by IRCON Limited.
