India is to set up a Satellite Tracking and Data Reception and Processing Centre in Vietnam for ASEAN Member countries. The facility is meant to acquire and process data from the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite relating to the ASEAN region. <br/><br/>Under this initiative, all ASEAN member countries including Vietnam will have access to the processed remote sensing data pertaining to the concerned country. Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh gave this information in the Lok Sabha today. In a written reply he said the ground facility is designed in such a way as not to allow Indian data to be accessed and processed by the system.
