India to resume third day's play against West Indies

India will resume third day's play at 354 for 6 in their first innings against the West Indies in the first Cricket Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata this morning. Rohit Sharma was unbeaten on 127 and Ravichandran Ashwin was not out on 92 when stumps were drawn. Rohit stamped his class by hitting a sparkling century on debut as India recovered from a top-order collapse to take a firm grip of the first Test against the West Indies with a 120-run first-innings lead yesterday. Rohit has become the 14th Indian batsman to score a century on debut. For visitors, Shane Shillingford was the most successful bowler who claimed 4 wickets. The visitors were all out for 234 in their first innings.
