India will resume their first innings on day two with 399 for three against Sri Lanka. Cheteshwar Pujara with 144 and Ajinkay Rahane with 39 will resume the play riding on opener Shikhar Dhawan's quickfire highest Test score of 190 runs and Pujara's 144 helped India amass massive score of 399 when stumps were drawn on the opening day of the first cricket Test against Sri Lanka at Galle.Together with Pujara, Dhawan's whirlwind knock of 190 came off just 168 tormented the Lankan bowling attack to stitch 253 runs for the second wicket.Earlier, Dhawan opened the innings with Abhinav Mukund after Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Mukund made 12 and Kohli was out for 3. India have handed Test debut to all-rounder Hardik Pandya.The hosts are being led by Rangana Herath. Sri Lanka will have to bat with only 10 players in both their innings as their batsman Asela Gunaratne fractured his left thumb while attempting a catch of India opener Shikhar Dhawan off the bowling of Lahiru Kumara on the opening day of the match. He has also been ruled out of the ongoing three-test series against India.
