India to provide Rs 3.54 crore in assistance to Nepal

India is providing a grant assistance of 3.54 crore rupees to Nepal for construction of campus building for Shree Bhimodaya Multiple Campus, Aruchanaute village in Gorkha district under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today by the Embassy of India, Kathmandu with District Development Committee, Gorkha and the concerned college authorities for providing the grant assistance. This is the sixth development project in the Gorkha District being undertaken with the assistance of India under Small Development Projects.India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme has an outlay over 5700 crore rupees with more than 390 large and small projects completed or currently being implemented in all districts of Nepal in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure development. These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal, reflecting the commitment of the government of India to work together with the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and development.
