India is to provide four crore and thirty six lakh nepali rupees for Gorkha district in Nepal. A memorandum of understanding was signed on Friday between the Embassy of India and District Development Committee, Gorkha and Amar Jyoti Janata Higher secondary school Paluntar. The grant assistance will be utilized for the construction of a double storied building for the school under the India-Nepal Economic Co-operation programme.
In addition to this school, there are two projects in Gorkha District that have already been completed with India’s assistance of one crore and thirteen lakhs , while work is ongoing for three projects at a cost of four crore and ten lakh nepali rupees . According to press release India has also given four ambulances to various organisations for use in the District.
