Union minster for Power and Coal Piyush Goyal has said that India is going to present the biggest investment opportunity in the power sector in the years to come. Addressing a seminar on opportunities in Power and Coal sector under Make in India Week in Mumbai today, he said that the Comprehensive reforms and the new Tariff Policy will create a paradigm shift in the investments in the Power sector. <br/><br/>He said that instead of asking for higher tariffs, the Modi government is focussing on addressing inefficiencies, losses and power theft to improve the power scenario. Mr. Goyal said that the government's LED programme will save 100 billion units of electricity and 6.5 billion dollar every year for consumers. He said that our global share of LED consumption has gone up from 0.1 per cent to 12 per cent in just 2 years on the global scale.
