India to play against Australia in 5 ODIs and 3 T-20 International matches

After routing Sri Lanka 9-0 across all three formats in their just concluded overseas tour, India will play against Australia in 5 One Day Internationals and 3 Twenty20 International matches at home. The ODI series begins next week, when India take on the visitors on Tuesday at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The other four ODIs will be played at Kolkata, Indore, Bengaluru and Nagpur. The Twenty20 India-Australia series begins next month when the hosts play their first match against the visitors at Ranchi on October 7. The remaining two Twenty20 matches will be played at Hyderabad and Guwahati. Steve Smith will lead the Australian team in both the formats. India wrapped up their Sri Lanka tour after beating the hosts by seven wickets in the one-off T-20 International cricket match in Colombo last night. It was the first time that an Indian cricket team registered an all-win record across all three formats in an overseas tour.
