India to have its first ever int’l science Congress on climate change

India will have its first ever international science Congress on climate change in 2012. Seeking the support of science and technology ministry in such an endeavour, the Environment Minister Mr. Jairam Ramesh said that his ministry is also looking forward to bring out a peer review journal on climate change. The minister today released the second assessment on climate change by the Indian network. This assessment addresses the concerns of the enormous implications of climate change to the natural resources in the four climate sensitive region including Himalayan region, north-east region, the Western ghats and the coastal places.
