India will now have access to information about Black Money stashed in Swiss and other foreign Banks. This follows New Delhi getting full fledged membership to the Financial Action Task Force, FATF, established to counter financial frauds. The other countries where New Delhi can have access to information on suspicious transactions include China, US and UK. The decision to include India as the 34th member country was taken during the Task Force's Plenary Session in Amsterdam marking an end of India's nearly decade long wait for admission. During this period, India served as an observer at FATF. The membership increases responsibility on Indian financial institutions and banks to comply with better business practices and strict adherence to reporting of financial transactions including suspicious ones. <br/>
