India is to double its tea export to Pakistan. This is envisaged in a memorandum of understanding signed between the Indian Tea Association and its Pakistani counterpart in Kolkata on the 10th of April this year.

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia gave this information in the Lok Sabha today. He said India supplied 24 million kilograms of tea to Pakistan last year. The figure will go up to 50 million kilograms in 2015.
