The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has finalised the plan for setting up Integrated Check Post at Wagah-Attari land border involving a sum of Rs. 150 crore.<br/><br/>Disclosing this, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Kahan Singh Pannu said today, Wagah-Attari will be the first Land Port to be commissioned. He said, the Integrated Check Post(ICP) will come up on 131 acre of land which has already been acquired by the state government and handed over to the central government for construction work.<br/><br/>The Check Post will have various machines and equipment including high level scanners worth 30 crore rupees to facilitate the Customs and Immigration clearance of passengers and goods.
