The Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma has said that India is poised to become third largest economy of the world in less than 15 years. He was speaking after inaugurating the India Business Summit during India show in Dubai today.He said there are clear projections that India will be in double digit growth and it will sustain in years to follow because we it needs to do it to create opportunities, to generate resources, to distribute wealth that generated among one point one billion people. He expressed the need to invest in technology and innovation and access those technologies and the adaptation of technologies helped India to straddle the divide. The UAE minister of higher education Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al Nahyan, Indian Ambassador to UAE MK Lokesh, President of the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) A Sakthivel and Consul General of India at Dubai, Sanjay Verma were among those present on the occasion.Later talking to media persons, the commerce and Industry Minister informed that government is working on a policy document on agriculture sector and time has come to embark on second green revolution and more investment in agriculture sector to strengthen food security. In reply to a question on his recent visit to turkey to attend CICA summit, Mr. Anand Sharma said this matter figured in the summit and during his intervention, it was made clear that the Gaza blockade has created a humanitarian crisis of immense proportion and the international community has collectively a duty to address it and give relief to the civilian population. At the same time both sides have to work along with other countries in the region and it is important to create an environment for negotiations.
