External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna today said that India will take into account various factors before taking a final stand on the US backed resolution on human rights violations against Sri Lanka in the United National Human Rights Council. Speaking to newsmen at the Chennai airport, he said, the decision will be based on the relationship between the two countries and the situation prevailing in India.
Replying to a question on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s letter to the Prime Minister urging the Centre to keep the state government informed on Sri Lankan dignitaries' visit to the state, Mr Krishna said, the Centre will take into consideration the assessment of the state and see how the issue can be reconciled.
