In Hockey, India men's team continued their brilliant form as they thrashed China 9-Nil in the Asian Champions Trophy played in Kuantan, Malaysia today. In its penultimate round robin game, 6th ranked India ran through China's defense. Jasjit Singh, Akashdeep Singh and Affan Yousuf scored brace while Rupinder Pal Singh, Nikkin Thimmaiah and Lalit Upadhyay scored a goal each.India had earlier, registered a morale boosting 3-2 win over arch-rivals Pakistan. It had opened its account with a 10-2 victory against Japan. The team was held to a 1-1 draw against Korea. With 4 matches and 10 points India leads the points table of six nations. With hosts Malaysia at 2nd spot, Pakistan at 3rd and Korea at 4th. India will play their next match with hosts Malaysia tomorrow, which could ensure them a favourable semi-final fixture.
