India terms deliberations of 2nd Development Working Group at Kumarakom as fruitful and constructive

<span style="color: #222222;">India has termed the deliberations of the second Development Working Group that concluded this afternoon at Kumarakom as fruitful and constructive, which received the broad support of the G20 member countries.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Briefing media about the DWG  deliberations, Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of External Affairs, Nagaraj Naidu and Eenam Gambhir expressed hope that a more consensual outcome is expected at the DWG Ministerial Meeting to be held at Varanasi, after the next two rounds to be held at Goa and  Delhi.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Stating that finance was a key item of discussion during the deliberations, Mr Naidu said the G20 Finance Track is looking into some of these issues carefully, including climate financing. He said the issue of financing is addressed broadly in the Sherpa track and more granularly in the Finance Track.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Ms Gambhir said India has presented to the world a very different strategy and approach to climate and development– a strategy that will ensure bold climate actions without sacrificing developmental approaches. She said India's presidency has given such concepts a brand new orientation and fresh thinking.</span><br />
