India and Switzerland have signed two MoUs in the field of Railways. The pacts were inked after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting President of Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard in New Delhi. <br/><br/>In a joint press statement with Mrs Leuthard, Prime Minister Modi said, FDI is a big part of the Indo-Swiss cooperation. Mr Modi said he and Mrs Leuthard agreed to enhance the business to business cooperation. The Prime Minister termed climate change as a global challenge. He said India is committed to clean energy and green future. <br/><br/>In her press statement, Swiss President Doris Leuthard said, both the countries have long standing relationship. She said reforms taken by India is a good base for expanding cooperation in several areas. <br/><br/>Mrs Leuthard was accorded ceremonial reception at the forecourts of the Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning. Talking to media, she hoped that her visit will boost ties between the two sides. Mrs Leuthard said bilateral trade relations should improve. She said, MoUs in the areas such as trade and railways are expected to be inked. <br/> <br/>Ms. Leuthard arrived in New Delhi yesterday evening on a three-day visit to India. The Swiss leader is being accompanied by senior Government officials and a large business delegation of leading Swiss companies<br/>India and Switzerland enjoy robust economic ties, with Switzerland being seventh largest trading partner and eleventh largest foreign investor for India. Both countries share common views on many major global issues.
