India has supplied 6.2 tonnes of essential medicines to Maldives as assistance in fight against COVID-19. The medicines were procured from various cities and delivered by an Hercules aircraft of Indian Air Force today. <br />'' <br />'' Indian High Commission in Male said this is the first such assistance by India in fight against COVID-19. <br />'' <br />'' Earlier, India had dispatched a medical team along with essential medicines to help the island nation fight the COVID-19 outbreak. <br />'' <br />'' India has also supplied essential food grains and edibles despite logistical challenges in the wake of lockdown.<br />
