India today strongly condemned the senseless acts of violence in Norway that killed 92 people and said it was shocked and saddened by the Friday attacks. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement in New Delhi said, the government and people of India stand with the people and the Government of Norway at this tragic juncture. Meanwhile, The 15-member United Nations Security Council, including India, has strongly condemned the heinous attacks in Norway on Friday that claimed 92 lives. In a statement, the Security Council said that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable regardless of their motivation. UN chief Ban Ki-moon also spoke with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg to extend his personal condolences and those of the United Nations family to the Government of Norway and the families of the victims of the attacks.
