The Joint Working Group on Fisheries between India and Sri Lanka has stressed the need of an ongoing engagement between fishermen of the two countries to avert harassment to Tamil Nadu fishermen. A joint statement, issued after the working group meeting in Colombo last night, said that it has been agreed that a delegation of fishermen’s representatives from Sri Lanka will visit India at the earliest to find a solution to the problem.
