India- Sri Lanka match ends in a tie

In the on-going tri-nation ODI cricket series in Australia, the 5th match between India and Sri Lanka ended in a tie at Adelaide yesterday. Chasing a modest Sri Lankan target of 237, Team India could only manage to equal the score at the end of their stipulated 50 overs. With 4 runs to win on the last ball, skipper MS Dhoni, scored 3 runs on the last delivery, helping India to tie the match. Dhoni remained not out on 58.Earlier, Gautam Gambhir guided India's chase with a vital contribution of 91 runs.Earlier, pacer Vinay Kumar bagged 3 wickets, while spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took two, as Sri Lanka posted 236 for 9, after opting to bat first.Australia and Sri Lanka will play the next match of the tournament at Sydney on Friday.
