World champions, India have slipped to the third position in the ICC One Day International team rankings. After an annual update of the list, Australia have extended their lead at the top with 12 points while Sri Lanka is second. Despite capturing the World Cup 2011, India have fallen behind in the updated rankings. In the past 12 months, India have lost nine ODIs, including its last two against eighth ranked West Indies and one in the group stages of the ICC Cricket World Cup. They have a win-loss ratio poorer than World Cup finalists Sri Lanka and quarterfinalists, Australia and South Africa.
