India, Singapore express serious concern at growing extremism & terrorism

India and Singapore today expressed serious concern at growing extremism and terrorism which are common threat to the entire international community. <br/><br/>Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong called on President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan. During the meeting, Mr Mukherjee said, India has been victim of cross border terrorist attacks perpetrated by groups which enjoy safe havens in Pakistan and the recent Uri terror attack underlined the fact that the infrastructure of terrorism in Pakistan remains active. <br/><br/>The President said as strategic partners, the broadest possible range of cooperation on security and terrorism would be to the mutual benefit of India and Singapore. <br/><br/>He said, both countries must focus on enhancing co-operation on combating terrorism and isolating its supporters. <br/>Mr Lee Hsien Loong strongly condemned the Uri terrorist attack and said Singapore also remains on constant vigil against terrorism.
