India, Singapore agree to enhance defence cooperation

India and Singapore have agreed to further enhance the bilateral defence cooperation to strengthen regional peace and stability.

Defence minister A K Antony and his Singapore counterpart Dr. Ng Eng Hen in a meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the wide ranging comprehensive defence exchanges between the two countries.

AIR correspondent reports, both sides also agreed that the on-going interactions between the defence establishments including regular joint military training and exercises had been useful.
