The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said that India sincerely wishes to resolve all outstanding issues with neighbours through dialogue. Seeking a neighbourhood of peace, he wished Pakistan, grappling with many internal problems, success in tackling terrorism. He also asserted that the destinies of the two countries and that of other South Asian nations are closely interlinked. Dr. Singh was addressing the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi on Friday morning. Earlier, the Prime Minister in Srinagar renewed India's hand of friendship with Pakistan and followed it up saying that there are no pre-conditions for holding dialogue. He however made it clear that cross-border terrorism has to end from the country. Focusing on the need for a strong South Asia, Dr.Singh emphasised the need for leadership in the region which has the courage to take bold decisions. <br/> Referring to economic scene in the country, the Prime Minister said that the Government is keen to sustain growth rate of 9-10 per cent growth in the coming years. In reply to a question he said that both India and China have immense opportunities to work together and there is ample space in the world to accommodate the growth ambitions of both the countries. Dr. Singh expressed hope that peace and tranquility will prevail along the India-China boarder.<br/>The Prime Minister was asked whether the government was divided on the issue of tackling Maoist issue , Dr. Singh said that in a functional democracy, there are occasions when there are differences of opinion among various leaders of our own coalition. But let there be no doubt that law and order is the primary responsibility of every civilised state. <br/> The Prime also spoke about the importance of the Indo-US civil nuclear cooperation and described former US president George W Bush as a great friend of India. The Prime Minister said that New Delhi is working with our international partners to give a boost to our nuclear power programme. He said this will be an important contribution to efforts to use to cleaner fuels and thus combat climate change. <br/>
