India and Lesotho on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the field of rural enterprises and small-scale industries and for the use of new and renewable sources of energy and development of rural housing. The MoU was signed between Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh and the head of the visiting delegation, Lesotho's Minister of Local Government Dr Pontso Matumelo Sekatle. The areas of collaboration will include among other things the development and maintenance of rural access and connectivity, rural water supply and sanitation and minor-irrigation.
