India signs MoU with Czech Republic on technical cooperation in railway sector

India today signed memorandum of understanding with Czech Republic on technical cooperation in railway sector. Chairman of Railway Board, Arunendra Kumar, signed the MoU with Ambassador of Czech Republic, Miloslav Stasek in New Delhi. As per an official release, potential cooperation areas in the MoU included raising of speeds upto 200 kmph, building infrastructure, modernizing stations, upgrading Information and communication technologies and facilitating logistics of automotive transport. The MoU is valid for a period of three years which can be extended further for successive periods of one year at a time.
