India signs agreement with USAID for e-payments

India has signed an agreement with the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, for accepting digital payments.<br/><br/>Consumer confidence in digital payments within the country is also being encouraged. <br/><br/>Stating this in the Lok Sabha today, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said a dedicated portal is in place for conducting awareness campaigns for a cashless society among the people.
