India signs 13 FTAs with its trading partners, says Mos for Commerce & Industry Anupriya Patel

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">India has signed 13 Free Trade Agreements, FTAs with its trading partners. This information was given by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel in the Lok Sabha today. In a written reply, the minister said the country is currently negotiating FTAs with the United Kingdom, the European Union and Canada.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> She said, however, it is difficult to predict the timeline for completion of negotiations, as agreements are entered into when negotiating countries are satisfied with the outcome.
