In their opening match of the ICC Women's World Cup at Derby today, India have set a target of 282 runs for England. Put in to bat, the Indian women made 281 for three in the stipulated 50 overs. Smriti Mandhana was the top scorer with 90 while her opening partner Punam Raut made 86. Skipper Mithali Raj was out for 71 off the last ball of the innings. Harmanpreet Kaur was unbeaten on 24.In the other fixture of the day at Bristol, Sri Lanka set a target of 189 runs for New Zealand. Sent in to bat, they made 188 for 9 in their 50 overs.
