India seeks New Zealand's cooperation in food processing sector

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked New Zealand to explore market opportunities in food processing sector in India. During his bilateral talks with his New Zealand counterpart John Key in Washington yesterday, on the sidelines of Nuclear Security Summit, Mr Modi said, India is the largest producer of milk and New Zealand could tap Indian market in food processing. He also asked Mr Key to take up a proactive campaign to enthuse more number of Indian students to study in New Zealand.<br/><br/>Briefing news persons after the bilateral talks, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swaroop said, both the leaders emphasized the need to have direct flights between India and New Zealand to boost tourism. Mr Swaroop said, New Zealand Prime Minister evinced keen interest to have Free Trade Agreement with India at the earliest.<br/><br/>The spokesperson said, both leaders began their bilateral talks with Cricket and Mr Key congratulated Mr Modi for successful conduct of the T-20 World Cricket tournament and remarked that Bollywood helped to make New Zealand a tourist destination.
